In her extensive legal experience, Lindsey has recognized the human and financial costs that come with workplace litigation. She strives to help create solutions that promote a balance of justice for both employees and employers alike.
With a vision to make meaningful contributions to the legal industry, Lindsey founded Moxie. Our mission is to be an agent of positive change by offering workplace training and ethical investigations that deter costly litigation while providing creative resolutions when needed through mediation services.
Lindsey is a California, Florida, New York, and Ohio licensed attorney. Lindsey is also an Association of Workplace Investigators (AWI) Certificate Holder, meaning that she has demonstrated success at achieving the core knowledge and skills necessary to perform impartial workplace investigations.
Lindsey was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. She was awarded a double Bachelor of Arts degree in both Political Science and Journalism at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and her Juris Doctor at Stetson University in Gulfport, Florida, with a concentration in International Law. In college, she studied at Universidad Pablo de Olavide in Seville, Spain and in law school, she studied in the United Kingdom at the Stetson Law Autumn in London Program. Subsequently, she earned a Certificate in Health and Hospital law from Seton Hall School of Law.
After graduating law school, Lindsey worked as an associate at an insurance litigation firm before commencing her career as a labor and employment lawyer with Scott Wagner and Associates, P.A., serving clients in Florida, California, and Ohio. Her legal practice included assisting employers and employees in employment litigation (state and federal) and arbitration matters as well as employment-related counseling and compliance, including workplace training and workplace investigations, drafting handbooks and workplace policies.
She has successfully advocated for clients in state and federal courts across a range of important employment issues, including discrimination/retaliation claims, wage disputes, wrongful terminations, whistleblower grievances and restrictive covenants. Her proactive approach to mediation has helped us resolve numerous challenging cases.
Lindsey is passionate about her volunteer work with the legal community. She is on the Executive Council for the Florida Bar Association Labor and Employment Section as well as a member of the Association's Entertainment, Arts and Sports Law Section . She is Employee Co-Chair for Membership Outreach with the Labor and Employment Committee for the American Bar Association, and Dinner Committee Co-Chair and Editorial Board Member of LA Lawyer Magazine for the Los Angeles County Bar Association (LACBA) Labor and Employment CLE Committee. Lindsey also volunteers time as a mediator with the California Lawyers for the Arts and is a member of the U.S. Central District Court of of California's mediation panel for the 2022-2024 term as well as a Pro Bono Mediator for the Equal Employment Opportunities Commission (EEOC) Cleveland, Ohio office.
Lindsey is a member of the Southern California Mediation Association (SCMA), the Association of Workplace Investigators (AWI), the International Ombuds Association, and the Columbus Chamber of Commerce.
Lindsey splits her time between California, Florida and Ohio.
Her hobbies include hiking, travel, photography, cheering on the Los Angeles Dodgers, and spending time with her family.

Jessica comes to Moxie as a lifelong learner with abundant curiosity, who believes there must be a more human approach to dealing with the complexity of interpersonal workplace relationships. This combination has created a passion for investigations and training.
Jessica is a Florida licensed attorney and a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional from the Society for Corporate Compliance and Ethics. She has specifically trained in neutral Title IX, VII, VI, ADA and ADEA investigations. She holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law, a Master of Science degree in Leadership and Organizational Change from Regis College, and a Certificate in Local Government Management from Florida Gulf Coast University.
Jessica spent seven years in higher education in student affairs before going to law school. She started her legal career investigating employment discrimination complaints with the Louisville Metro Human Relations Commission in Louisville, Kentucky. She joined Lindsey at Scott Wagner and Associates, P.A. as a National Employment Lawyers Association Fellow and stayed with the firm until 2016. Following, she worked at Florida Gulf Coast University as an Investigator in the Office of Institutional Equity and Compliance, eventually moving into the Assistant Director and Senior Deputy Title IX Coordinator in the same office.
In 2021, she moved to the legal team at FGCU, serving as the Assistant General Counsel for the school. She is currently the ADA Coordinator in Rockville, Maryland, a yoga teacher, an adjunct professor teaching Business Ethics and Law, and of course, happily working with Lindsey again at Moxie Mediation!
Beyond investigations, Jessica offers a wide variety of trainings which can be catered to private business, public entities, and higher education institutions. Her particular favorite training is the Values Based Management training program, which is a half or full day workshop aimed at working with managers to create and present clear organization values, which translate to a more equitable, efficient, and effective workplace.

Theresa Moss is a Senior Human Resources professional with a guiding philosophy that people matter. She believes compassion and ethics in business are critical for success and is passionate about education, people and helping businesses build respectful, diverse, equitable and inclusive workplaces. Her beliefs are rooted in the years of study of employee relations data and her direct experience with navigating and resolving many workplace complaints. The study of this data has also led to her passion for training that bridges the importance of awareness and prevention, which leads to her belief that education can drive organizational capabilities that result in the personal and professional growth of individuals that leads to profitable business outcomes for companies.
With over 25 years of leadership and 21 years of North American multi-unit business operations experience, Theresa’s has a background and reputation of being a trusted advisor to business leaders and colleagues, and her expertise covers a wide range of HR business practices, such as:

Theresa was one of two primary leaders who lead a COVID-19 taskforce for North America involving cross functional teams across multiple business areas. The task force was an on-going crisis management project that involved daily research to stay on top of city, state, municipal, federal and provincial health and safety mandates that included updates to operational requirements and protocols to maintain compliance with the evolving changes in federal, state and provincial regulatory directives regarding COVID-19 safety protocols affecting over 300 locations and 20,000 employees.
Theresa’s experience with responding to civil rights claims and working with legal counsel to respond and defend legal charges that are filed, either individually or as class actions, has provided her a unique background of experience that permits her to assist individuals and businesses navigate and learn from these cases and appropriately apply these learnings into business operations. Theresa was directly involved in assisting with the defense of a NLRB case that resulted in a 2019 NLRB Board decision overturning the rule of not allowing confidentiality in workplace investigations. Through her work and with the assistance of legal counsel, the Board recognized the logical and critical business arguments that were raised resulting in the Board decision that now allows confidentiality in open workplace investigations. This decision was widely celebrated by many businesses that have been challenged in protecting employees while investigating serious workplace violations.
Theresa is a U.S. Navy veteran and lives in Federal Way, Washington, a suburb south of Seattle. She loves getting outdoors and enjoying the beauty of the PNW. During her free time, she likes to read and paint. Her most favorite pastime is spending time with her family, most especially her two beautiful granddaughters.

She is a detail-oriented and disciplined professional who excels in organizing and collaborating with teams.
Rocio's strong analytical skills and quick learning ability enable them to adapt to new technologies and trends in the rapidly evolving digital landscape. With certifications in HubSpot Inbound Marketing, SEO, Content Marketing, and Digital Marketing, she is always at the forefront of industry knowledge and best practices.
Outside of work, Rocio finds great joy in traveling, exploring new destinations, and immersing themselves in different cultures. She has a passion for going on hikes and spending time in nature, which fuels her creativity and inspires her work.
